Research
Perception, Attention & Consciousness Lab
Lab manager at the PAC Lab at the University of Florida under Brian Odegaard. Built eyetracking and neuroimaging pipelines, contributed to experimental design, and co-authored peer-reviewed work on metacognition.
Lab manager at the Perception, Attention & Consciousness Lab at the University of Florida, under PI Brian Odegaard, from July 2020 through November 2022.
The role was a mix of research infrastructure and hands-on experimental work:
- Built pipelines for new eyetracking paradigms the lab was bringing online.
- Contributed to experimental design across concurrent studies.
- fMRI and neuroimaging data collection.
- Set up SQL systems for grad students so their data lived somewhere queryable instead of in scattered CSVs.
I also contributed to prostate detection research using eyetracking at UF — applying the lab’s perception methodology to a clinical-imaging question.
Publications
I co-authored a peer-reviewed study on metacognitive confidence and multisensory causal inference in speech perception (Multisensory Research, 2023). A second paper, with David Rosenthal and Brian Odegaard, is in progress and pending submission.
